Dear Friend in the Flow of Life,
It is that time of the year in the northern hemisphere where dark hours are the longest, where the encouragement to slow down and abide by the wisdom of Mother Nature is overridden by the pressure to buy, to consume, to celebrate……

Celebrate what?……The grief and despair we ALL find ourselves in?…regardless of age, gender, religion or nationality?

This excerpt from Fred LaMotte really spoke to me as I ponder on the times leading up to Winter Solstice

Darkness is not the absence of light. 
Darkness is the womb of light. 
Darkness is not evil, 
but the deepest good. 
Darkness is not despair, 
but the peace where joy begins, 
a hidden seed, self-unfolding. 
A bud is wrapped in darkness 
to protect its golden petals 
from the frost, 
a chrysalis cocooned in darkness 
to protect its rainbow wings 
from the storm, 
your tears rapt in shadows 
to ripen before they fall.

I wonder….what are the hidden seed I am nurturing to blossom during these dark months to benefit all beings around me?

I wonder…what tears am I holding back to irrigate the new seeds of peace, joy and compassion in the world I envision?

I wonder….can we get together as a community to allow the sun set and let go of what no longer serves us

And welcome the moon rising of the seeds we want to see expand and grow in the new year?

I invite you to breathe together and allow our bodies to find nourishment as we shed our skin with the tools Continuum offers.
